replehsnatas.com is reportedly a haunted website and urban legend with a dark and dangerous reputation.
The Legend of Repleh Snatas
According to the legend of Repleh Snatas was a baby girl born during the 18th century. Repleh was born with a very prominent red birthmark on her forehead.
Repleh’s parents were very religious and feared that the mark meant that she was a child of the devil. Because of this they trapped her in one room and subjected her to years of torture and inhumane treatment.
The legend states that the room she was in was filled with mirrors. Repleh’s parents believed that if she was to look into any of the mirrors they would break and she would be reclaimed by Satan. Of course Repleh’s name spelt backwards is Satan’s Helper.
Summoning Repleh Snatas
Apparently, Repleh Snatas can be summoned by writing ‘Repleh Snatas’ backwards on a mirror 6 times under the light of a candle. When you are finished blow the candle out and the mirror will crack. If you relight the candle you will see a little girl, with a red mark on her face, standing in the mirror. If you turn around she will bring you to hell with her.
If you close your eyes when blowing out the candle Repleh will disappear without harming you.
In another version of the legend you can summon Repleh Snatas using the website: www.replehsnatas.com.
Apparently if you type your name and email address into the website she will reply to your email, telling you to come back at midnight to ‘play’.
If you view the website at midnight text and images are said to appear that tell the story of Repleh Snatas.
If you type in the name of someone who has wronged you Repleh will exact revenge for you. In exchange for her services Repleh Snatas will visit you every night in your dreams until you die.
Several warnings have appeared online about this sooky website though no one has been harmed by it to our knowledge.
Investigation into replehsnatas.com
replehsnatas.com in the wayback machine
replehsnatas.com seems to no longer be operational unfortunately. We managed to pull up some previous versions of it using the Wayback Machine. The website only displayed a blank page with the title tag “lets-play-a-game”. At some point in 2014 the title tag changed to “inmemoryof”.
Further googling revealed a connected Facebook account called Repleh Snatas that encouraged people to visit the website in 2017. According to the comments on the Facebook page the website only seemed to work at midnight.
We also managed to find a video of someone interacting with the replehsnatas.com while it was still working.
Strangely enough while writing this article the noise of disembodied footsteps echoed through the room. Maybe just a coincidence?
It seems to us that replehsnatas.com was probably just a developer having a bit of fun trying to scare people. But you never know…
