Simpsons Predictions: How Can a Cartoon Predict the Future So Accurately?
Over the last few years some of the wacky plotlines of The Simpsons seem to have come true in reality? Can a cartoon really predict the future?

Game of Thrones Simpsons Prediction
A dragon is shown destroying an innocent village in Season 29 Episode 1 which aired in 2017. The episode was a parody of Game of Thrones. This episode was written before the infamously devastating penultimate episode of Game of Thrones. In this episode Daenerys Targaryen used her dragon to destroy a settlement that had already surrendered, killing thousands of people.
How are Simpsons predictions so accurate?
The most boring explanation is probably the most likely in this case. They have simply made so many episodes of the Simpsons that they are bound to occasionally write about something that will later become a reality.
When the writers are coming up with storylines they will be base these in reality but try to come up with the most entertaining outcome for their show. Sometimes in real life the strangest possible things do happen and coincidentally line up with the Simpsons predictions.
But what about the things that are completely out of left field? There’s no way the writers of the Simpsons could have known about the Shard being built or that the USA would beat Sweden at curling.
Perhaps the writers of the show are channeling knowledge of the future without even realizing. There is a theory that knowledge of everything that has ever happened and will ever happen is stored in another dimension. The information stored there is sometimes accessible to us but most of us are unable to control when we can access it.
This is referred to as the Akashic Record. According to this theory psychics are just normal people that have tuned in on their natural ability to access this information.
So in short maybe the writers of the Simpsons are unknowingly drawing inspiration from the Akashic Record?
